Mr. Ron Henrich is the S.C.O.P.E. teacher at my junior high down here in West Chester, Ohio. He's only a tiny speck within the massive expanse of the entire world. This mere single man in one school out of dozens in the district, adult Inflatable Games which is only one district of dozens more in the city, stands tall in the eyes of all those who have known him.
A true gem as far as teachers go, I am happy to have ever met him. So "What makes this guy so special?" I know I am gushing and chattering on and on about how cool he is, but you'll have to excuse me. It is really hard for me to put Mr. Henrichsintoswords. What makes someone so likable that everyone who knows him absolutely has no reason to dislike him? Everyone that knew Mr. Henrich had a smile on his or her face every time he was mentioned and couldn't hate him if they tried. Everyone has enemies, but Mr. Henrich might be the one exception. I can honestly say that every teacher I have had always has one student that just hates him or her. Mr. Henrich, at worst, had a student that didn't smile one of the days that he was in his class.
I believe that Mr. Henrich and Mrs. Abrams are the two teachers who genuinely cared about me and the rest of their students.
A child can certainly learn many things he needs from his parents at home. Sometimes it might even be better. I, for example, have a dad who is an educational specialist. Seriously, I can honestly say that if I sit down with the same textbooks and the same amount of time, I could learn more than twice the amount of stuff that I have learned in all the years of my schooling in half the time. So why does the entire nation of America send their children to school? Many states, including Ohio, allow "home schooling". To say it differently, if a family doesn't want to send their children to a public school, it is legal to allow your child to stay home and be "home-schooled", but in some states it is illegal. The parents of those families who keep their children away from the schools can even be sent to jail. My dad had two students who home school their children. My dad said that, these children are "100% pure juice"(As apposed to "concentrate juice" or contaminated and polluted). Home-schooled children are proven to be less likely to getsintostrouble than children who go to public schools.
